This statue was made by E. Pierre Wainwright for the
Lexington Motor
Car Company of Connersville, Indiana. As part of publicity
program the statue was placed at small triangle park between the B&O
railroad and Eastern Avenue in Connersville. For many years the area was
know as Lexington Park. |

E. Pierre did the work on the statue at the
Lexington Plant
in Connersville. It was displayed for a while at the companies
show room at 815 Central before it was moved to the park on August 19,
1922. |

The statue was first carved out of clay. The a plaster
copy was made it was gilded and then weatherproofed |

This is a small version made of the Lexington Minuteman
Statue for the Lexington Motor Car Company. It stands about 3 inches
tall. You can see the Lexington logo on the base. |
